BABY MUST-HAVES

There are tons of products I’ve used in the last ten months with my daughter, but I’m going to breakdown my most crucial must-haves! There are some products that have been a must-have since day one and then there were products that were a must-have at just a certain age! I’ll go through it all and discuss what I think is worth buying!

1. The SNOO Bassinet (0-7 months)

We used the SNOO bassinet for the first 7 months and let me tell you, it’s the best thing we ever invested in! It makes your life so much easier as a first-time mom or a mom to 28282. Everything about this bassinet is amazing. It helps them fall asleep, stay asleep, and soothe them back to sleep. It has a built-in sound machine and a weaning option. Thankfully, we had no problem transitioning her to the crib and we didn’t even use the weaning mode! 100000% recommend.

2. The Dock-A-Tot (0-3 months)

We used the Dock-A-Tot for good 3 months I’d say. It was very cozy and she seemed to be so comfortable in it! We used it not only as a lounger, but a place she took day naps next to me in the family room. We were nervous to keep her in the room during her naps (lol), so we always had her take naps in dock-a-tot on the couch while she was always supervised. We couldn’t have lived without it! I’ll definitely use it again for my boy.

3. The Hatch Sound Machine (0 months - current)

This has always been and I think forever will be a life saver! It helps sound out all the noise in the house and helps her stay asleep. We don’t use the night light anymore because it’s just a distraction for her. We used to use it when she was in our room so we can see her if needed. But I’ll be using that sound machine for as long as I need to!

4. Sleep Sack (6 months - current)

Once we transferred Sara from the SNOO to her crib, we needed to transition her out of her swaddle. We did this easily with her Nested Bean Zen Sack! She loves it and it’s not too heavy or thick, so it doesn’t make her super hot while sleeping. The reason I love it is because it’s a safe way to allow your baby wear a blanket and it signals it’s time to sleep! She knows how to sleep without it when I’ve tried, but just the idea of keeping it a habit before she sleeps allows her to understand I’m supposed to sleep right now. So I definitely recommend a sleep sack! It’s a safe way to keep them warm and great way to signal sleep is coming.

5. Playpen (9 months - current)

As soon as my daughter began crawling, I knew I needed to take out her play pen! Of course I always give her play time on the floor so she can explore, crawl, and practice standing/walking, but sometimes a baby just needs a safe place to play with all her toys in a contained area! It’s so convenient, especially when I want to get a task done or drink my morning coffee peacefully (that’s a must for me, lol). As long as she is happy and content playing independently with her toys, I’ll let her hangout in there. As soon as she wants out, I take her out and play with her! But her playpen is definitely my biggest must-have at the moment! I highly recommend getting one as soon as you have a crawler on your hands!
