LABOR & DELIVERY NURSE GOODIE BAGS!
It’s that time where all things need to be prepped and ready! I’m about one month away from my due date, so I’m starting to get all things “hospital” completed and checked off my to-do list!
This is my first experience and I heard people usually either make all the nurses in the L&D department goodie bags, gift baskets, or they buy them all lunch! I thought it was the cutest and most generous idea! And you may wonder why the nurses...?
Apparently, the nurses are the ones doing all the work and are there for you to help you every single step of the way! In fact, the doctor doesn’t really even come to your room until that baby’s head has almost emerged out of you! LOL! And once you deliver, they pretty much leave. So it’s really all the nurses that are coming in and out of your room during your entire stay from labor to pushing to recovery! No wonder why this is a thing! Those nurses deserve it all... So I’m happy to do this for them!
THANK YOU NOTE.
I tied the goodie bags up in a pink bow, of course, and wrote a little thank you note to thank them for being part of our most special day! I really just thought taking the time to put together a little goodie bag individually wrapped for all of them would be more thoughtful than buying them all lunch! Plus, it’s cute & fun to do!
IN THE BAG.
I decided to make ten goodie bags filled with snacks that would be nice to keep them going through their workday! I included many of my favorite things in the bag and just some simple go-to snacks majority of people like! Plus, since we’re going to have our baby girl around Christmas time, I decided to throw in a couple festive things!
Here’s what’s in the bag:
Twix or Resees
Red & Green Life Savers
I purchased everything in the bags from Walmart for only $50!
The clear goodie bags, ribbon, and note tags were all very inexpensive and purchased on Amazon! I only made ten goodie bags, which someone recommended I do, considering night and day shift nurses! You may know more about how many goodie bags you’ll need to make for your labor and delivery department! Anyway, I absolutely loved the bags, ribbon, and tags I bought! I thought they were so cute and good quality. Definitely made everything come together so nicely! Below are the links for them!
WHAT’S IN YOUR GOODIE BAG?
I wanted to make this post for those who haven’t experienced it yet just like me! I would’ve never known people do this if it weren’t for others telling me! So, I thought I’d share what I did! If you did this before, or plan to do it, what’s in your goodie bag?! Or what did you do to thank your nurses? All ideas are appreciated for all these mamas! Let us know in the comments below! 💗
